A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2015.

Sofia: offering up a smile
Otto: concentrating hard on putting the lid on a texta

It got to 3pm on this (Sunday) afternoon and realised I didn't have any photos from this week, so these were snapped literally five minutes ago as the kids did some drawing :)

We are getting ready to move out to start the major renovation work so I fear this scenario may become the norm for the next few weeks!

Sofia & Otto: haloed by the early evening autumn sun

This last week has seen me squinting during dinner time. It is the time of year where the light from the setting sun hits me directly in the face - a synching of position and timing. I was looking at the kids and their halos and I thought "what beautiful light" and then I jumped up to grab the camera to take these.

Simple Pleasures #10 - picking apples 2015

It's apple season again but this time there are two apple eaters. It all started with Sofia in 2012 when she was only just walking. Then a year later in 2013 she casually picked and ate an apple. There were no apple videos last year because there were no apples on that tree but this year there is a good crop despite damaging hail in December and very heavy rain in January.

(If you are viewing this post from an email you might have to click on the title to view the post in your browser to see the videos.)

This is Otto's first appearance in an apple video and he is not as much of a natural in front of the camera. He was being coached - lots of looking at the cameraman and taking some of the directions very literally. Could he be any cuter?

And the apples are very yummy - it's a reliable tree for that.

Sofia: being a bit coy about having her photo taken
Otto: messing about on Granddad's boat (Ian took this one)

We have been visiting Perth this last week. Lots of fun with family and friends (and sunshine!), but once again I didn't get the camera out much. I have just been enjoying it rather than trying to capture it all and I think that is ok.

A couple of iPhone shots this week - we have been busy :)

Sofia: where did my little girl go?
Otto: I love watching him sleep

Otto still has his middle-of-the day nap and so it was pretty easy to sneak in a take a few snaps. More difficult to resist tickling those toes peaking out. There is nothing quite like watching your baby sleep, even if your 'baby' is two and a bit.

It also gave me a chance to document the crazy wallpaper in the kids' room - not long now until we move out and the renovation works begin in earnest. I think I will actually miss its cheery yellow-ness.
